HOPE Scholarship & Zell Miller Scholarship
Georgia's HOPE Scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. The scholarship provides money to assist students with a portion of the tuition cost at a HOPE Scholarship eligible college or university. This program does have eligibility requirements, academic requirements, and a length of eligibility. Georgia public and private high schools can track their HOPE Scholarship status from high school through thier GAfutures account at My High School HOPE GPA. HOPE Grant
Georgia's HOPE Grant (a separate program from the HOPE Scholarship) is available to Georgia residents who are working towards a certificate or diploma (continuing education programs are not eligible) at an eligible college or university in Georgia. For more details, visit: HOPE Grant.
HOPE Career Grant
The HOPE Career Grant is available to HOPE Grant-qualified students who enroll in select majors specifically aligned with industries in which there are more jobs available in Georgia than there are skilled workers to fill them. Tracking HOPE Academic Eligibility
Georgia's HOPE Programs are for those students who demonstrate academic achievement not only in high school but throughout their time in college. Beginning in high school, Georgia students are able to track their My High School HOPE GPA through their GAfutures account to know if they are on track to earn the HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarship.
Georgia high school HOPE GPA starts calculating as soon as students begin 9th grade. Unlike the overall high school GPA, the HOPE GPA only includes core curriculum courses:
- English
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Foreign Language
Students can begin checking their HOPE GPA through their My GAfutures account starting in the 10th grade. To create a GAfutures account, visit: GAfutures.
