Welcome to the 2026 - 2027 VPA Magnet    Audition Process

Greetings Future Artists of Tri-Cities Visual & Performing Arts Magnet!

It is our privilege to support and inspire the next generation of artists through our internationally recognized Visual & Performing Arts Magnet Program. At Tri-Cities High School, students receive rigorous, specialized arts instruction while developing discipline, creativity, and confidence in their chosen field. For the upcoming school year, students may apply to one of the following five majors:

• Dance

• Visual Arts

• Band

• Choir

• Theatre

The first step in the audition process is to complete the Tri-Cities VPA & 3DE Magnet Application. All interested students must submit the application using the link below before participating in an audition or submitting materials:

Visual & Performing Arts auditions may be completed in person or through video submission, depending on a student’s current school. Students enrolled at KIPP South Fulton Academy, Main Street Academy, Paul D. West Middle School, and Woodland Middle School will participate in in-person auditions held at their respective schools. These auditions will take place during the school day and will be scheduled in coordination with students’ instructors.

Audition requirements vary by discipline. Please review the detailed requirements for each program area below.

Students attending other schools who have completed the COSA (Change of School Assignment) application may submit an audition video (for performing arts programs) or a portfolio presentation (for visual arts) via email to the Magnet Director.

For all video submissions, students must clearly state their name and the program they are auditioning for at the beginning of the video. Visual Arts portfolios may be created using PowerPoint, Canva, or another presentation platform. All videos and portfolios should be submitted to: freemans6@fultonschools.org
