The Tri-Cities High School Visual & Performing Arts Magnet Program proudly presents The Color Purple: The Musical, a powerful and inspiring story of resilience, love, faith, and self-discovery. This Tony Award-winning musical brings Alice Walker’s celebrated novel to life through moving performances, soulful music, and unforgettable storytelling.

Our talented students have worked tirelessly to deliver a production that honors the depth, beauty, and cultural significance of this story. We invite our families, alumni, neighbors, and community partners to join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience.

🎭 Special Performance Nights

To celebrate our community and the legacy of this production, we are excited to offer several themed performance nights:

• Neighborhood Preview Night (Thursday, February 26, 2026 – 7:00 PM)
  A special evening welcoming our surrounding community to experience the arts at Tri-Cities High School and celebrate storytelling that brings us together.

• Tri-Cities Alumni Night (Friday, February 27, 2026 – 7:00 PM)                                                                                                        A night dedicated to former Tri-Cities students and VPA alumni. Come back home and support the next generation of artists.

• D9 Night (Saturday, February 28, 2026 – 7:00 PM)
  We proudly honor the Divine Nine and their continued impact on culture, service, and leadership. Greek-letter organizations are encouraged to attend and represent.

• The Purple Matinee (Sunday, March 1, 2026 – 3:00 PM)
  A daytime matinee performance celebrating The Color Purple in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for families and community groups. Wear your best Purple!
